Walk under the Californian sun in Coronado

On sunny with blue skies, it is very pleasant to walk around the seaside resort Coronado, city of San Diego County, California. Coronado is located on the eastern part of the North Island at its junction with the Silver Strand strip of land closing San Diego Bay and connected to San Diego by the San Diego-Coronado Bridge. Coronado shares the tip of the peninsula with the military base at Naval Air Station North Island.

I park the car in a parking lot near the beach. Like this, it is very easy to go to the Coronado beach which is rated as the fifth best beach in America in 2008 by the Travel Channel. It is very pleasant to walk along the beach to the Coronado hotel, the view is beautiful. The beach is large, clean and well maintained.

Continuing along the path along the beach, we come next to one of the american treasure in the herat of south california, the National Historic Landmark, the Hotel del Coronado. The Del hotel Coronado is an American treasure with more than 120 years of fascinating stories to tell.

As the movie “Some Like It Hot” filmed at the Hotel del Coronado in 1958,which  showcased the talents of Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon while also showing off the hotel’s assets – a spectacular sun-drenched silhouette of Victorian architecture, the perfect backdrop for the film’s 1929 setting.

Then just walk quietly in Coronado, charming small-town quaintness, with elegant gardens, old-world mansions, unique shopping experiences, no wonder it’s been dubbed as “The Crown City” (Coronado is Spanish for “the crowned one”). Take a stroll down Orange Avenue, Coronado’s main street, which is lined with shops, restaurants, galleries, theaters and the Coronado Museum of History & Art.
