Long exposure photography at “Le Conquet” at the tip of Brittany

One night of full moon, I took the car with my camera equipment including a tripod. I am going to the “Le Conquet” which is about 25 km from Brest. Le Conquet is called Konk Leon in Breton (literally: “cove du Léon”), it is a maritime city of character that is located in Brittany in the department of Finistère on the territory of the Pays d’Iroise. This is the westernmost city of continental France.

Part of the economic life of Le Conquet is located in the harbor, in fact the harbor is a crab-eater and important groundfish harbor in the region (about twenty fishing boats). There is also the ferry terminal from which the boats leave for the islands of Ouessant and Molène. The only three insular communes of metropolitan France with the island of Sein.

To take the photographs, I went to the other side of the arm of sea of the Aber Conq. It is a place I know well because it is this road that I take to go surfing, when I am in the area.
