This temple is one of the few that survived the Meiji Era forced separation of the two. Surrounded by beautiful bamboo forests, the word “Takedera” means bamboo temple. For to go to Takedera, this is long drive by little road or walk up into the mountains from the Naguri Valley. There are small shrines, temples halls, a bell made from a WW2 bomb, a bamboo grove, a lot of wooden sculptures.
