walking to Kinchaku da Japan

About This Project

walking “Kinchaku da” while waiting for the sunset

Series of photographs while waiting for the sunset, to Kinchaku da, which is a place of the city of Hidaka, JapanKinchaku da is a name of the rice fields which are surrounded by the meander of Koma river and collectively form a shape of Japanese antique purse. Kinchaku-da can literally be translated like “purse-shaped rice fields” and has become popular because of its peculiar name.

I found very interesting costumes of the Scarecrows.

Kinchaku da have a beautiful scenery from season to season.  The forest surrounding shows the most beautiful scenery in late September to early October with a vast amount of cluster amaryllis flowers.
